OVERVIEW AND EXPECTATIONS

You will be picked-up at your accommodation in Lisbon and head to Évora on a private tour.

Located in the Alentejo region of South Portugal, it is a historical city and the centre it is part of UNESCO World Heritage. Begin the tour at the garden for a little walk. The Bones Chapel is a must - For some people it is a dark place, for other a fascinating space, consisting of hundreds of skulls and skeletons from about 5000 monks of the sixteenth century. There are also two intact corpses exposed in the chapel, so this is not a visit advised to sensitive people. Relax in Giraldo Square, the living center of Évora, full of architectural styles, from Moorish arches lined up in the Square, through the fountains of the Renaissance, to the Gothic church of São Francisco. Then head to the Roman Temple, also known as the Temple of Diana. Its powerful front with well-preserved granite columns astonishes those who see it for the first time. Visit the Cathedral of Évora, a Roman-Gothic church from the XIII century.

Eat and drink local and regional products and enjoy a delightful meal at one of the best restaurants.

With its unique climate conditions, the vineyards of the region produce some of the best Portuguese wines. End the day visiting an old wine cellar where you will taste the best Alentejo has to offer.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For cancellations 7 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. Between 3 and 6 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent fee. For cancellations within 2 days, there is a 100 percent fee.
