OVERVIEW AND EXPECTATIONS 

Explore the historical districts and hidden spots of Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais with this vintage Portugal Itinerary. Your voyage begins in Lisbon, where some of the highlights are São Jorge Castle and Belém region. You will have plenty of time to discover the seven hills and riverside filled with terraces and bars with an amazing atmosphere. Let yourself surprise by the character of Lisbon. Then you will make your way to the Royal Sanctuary of Lisbon – Sintra – where you will learn more about the history of Portugal.

You will finish your trip in a former royal town called Cascais where you will have the opportunity to recharge and enjoy the luxury retreats of Portugal.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LISBON

Located next to the Tagus river, widely spread over seven hills, Lisbon is a historical and glorious waterfront of the river. Filled with a rich history the city is full of life, the astonishing restaurants and bars the spectacular nightlife spread over the city makes it a delight to browse through. We will meet you at the airport and drive you to your Hotel located in the heart of Lisbon.

DAY 2: LISBON

In your first morning in Lisbon you will be provided with a guide that will introduce you to Lisbon in a private tour. Explore Baixa and the steep streets of Alfama. Then head to Chiado, Lisbon’s main shopping streets. After lunch you will head to Belém, known for Portugal’s seafaring past like the 16th-century Tower and the sail-shaped Discoveries Monument. Taste the traditional egg custard known as Pastel de Belém and traditional Portuguese cuisine at its finest.

DAY 3: LISBON

Explore the city on your own. Wander around and visit the beautiful Mercado da Ribeira for the best street food Europe has to offer. In the afternoon relax at one of the beautiful rooftop bars, viewpoint bars or at one of the terraces along the banks of the Tagus river.

DAY 4: LISBON > SINTRA

You will be heading a little bit more west today. You will be picked up by your driver and guide and make your way to Sintra where you will visit the beautiful Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle, both with stunning views. The city centre will give you the feeling that you went back in the time, to the Middle Ages. After a magnificent and typical Portuguese lunch, you will visit the most western point of Europe, known as Cape Roca, with cliffs 120 meters high.
