OVERVIEW AND EXPECTATIONS 

Explore the metropolitan of Portugal filled with beautiful restaurants and bars, colourful little and steep streets. Sense the history of the capital of Portugal, it is almost if the walls are talking to you. Your voyage begins in Lisbon, where some of the highlights are São Jorge Castle and Belém region. You will have plenty of time to discover the seven hills and riverside, filled with terraces and bars with an amazing atmosphere.

After your Lisboeta experience you will start to follow the heritage of Portugal. You will make your way to the former capital of Portugal called Coimbra to experience the rich heritage, and you will continue your trip to the beautiful city Porto, home to the beautiful Port wines and Douro Valley.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LISBON

Located next to the Tagus river, widely spread over seven hills, Lisbon is a historical and glorious waterfront of the river. Filled with a rich history the city is full of life, the astonishing restaurants and bars the spectacular nightlife spread over the city makes it a delight to browse through. We will meet you at the airport and drive you to your Hotel located in the heart of Lisbon.

DAY 2: LISBON

In your first morning in Lisbon you will be provided with a live guide that will introduce you to Lisbon in a private tour. Explore Baixa and the steep streets of Alfama. Then head to Chiado, Lisbon’s main shopping streets. After lunch you will head to Belém, known for Portugal’s seafaring past like the 16th-century Tower and the sail-shaped Discoveries Monument. Taste the traditional egg custard known as Pastel de Belém and traditional Portuguese cuisine at its finest.

DAY 3: LISBON

Explore the city on your own. Wander around the city and visit the beautiful Mercado da Ribeira for the best street food Europe has to offer. In the afternoon relax at one of the beautiful rooftop bars, viewpoint bars or at one of the terraces along the banks of the Tagus river.

DAY 4: LISBON > COIMBRA

Today the Center Region of Portugal will be your destination. You will be picked up by your guide and driver and head to a Region dominated by the Serra da Estrela Mountain. The region it is plentiful of green rugged landscapes and medieval villages, such as Óbidos and Batalha. You will be heading to the former capital of Portugal, called Coimbra, located on a hill by the beautiful Mondego River. Home to a preserved medieval old town and a historical University. On arrival in Coimbra you will visit the highlights of the city, such as the beautiful University with the stunning Library. After tasting the local cuisine with a great lunch, we will visit the Monastery of Santa Cruz, the final resting place of the first Portuguese King of Portugal, Afonso Henriques.

DAY 5: PORTO

After a great breakfast you will be picked up by your driver to follow the heritage, to the beautiful coastal city of Porto, known for the amazing Port Wine productions and stately bridges. In the Ribeira district between the cobbled narrow streets you will find bars and many beautiful restaurants.  Stroll on your own steam through the beautiful narrow streets of Porto.

DAY 6: PORTO

Today you will discover the heritage and beautiful history of Porto. You will be picked up by your driver and guide and visit beautiful sites, such as the market, the former stock exchange Palace and many more, with a nice coffee break in the legendary cafeteria Majestic. The day could not end without visiting (and most important tasting) a Port Winery.

DAY 7: PORTO

Spend the day exploring Porto on your own pass. Wander around the beauties of Porto and its UNESCO historical center. The city of Porto is known as the city of "Invicta". The city gave its name to Portugal very early in 200B.C. and later became the capital of Portucalense. Stroll through the city and all her beautiful places, monuments and restaurants with stunning cuisines.

We would not let your holiday end without having organised something special. You will be picked up to step aboard off a cruise to experience Porto and the Douro River from a different perspective.

DAY 8: BACK HOME

Enjoy a great breakfast and it is time to say farewell. You will be picked up by your driver and head to the airport in Porto to return home after a delightful Holiday.
